Ceremonial Holding

Ceremonial Holding is an offering that honours the thresholds of motherhood—the moments of expansion, transformation, and return. These ceremonies invite you to be witnessed, celebrated, and deeply held as you step into or through one of the most sacred passages of your life. Each ceremony is shaped with intention, gentleness, and reverence for the profound journey you are on.

Mother Blessing Ceremony

A Mother Blessing is a sacred gathering designed to honour your transition into motherhood. This ceremony marks the threshold you are approaching—a moment in time where you are preparing to become someone you have never been before. Whether this is your first baby or your fifth, you are expanding, growing, and crossing into a new expression of who you are.

In a culture that often looks past the mother and focuses only on the baby, a Mother Blessing brings the spotlight back to you. Your community gathers to witness your becoming, to offer blessings, love, and presence, and to remind you that you are seen and supported as you step into this portal of birth.

When a woman is held in this way—when she is truly witnessed—something shifts. She becomes more grounded, more trusting, more anchored in her strength. She walks toward birth knowing she is surrounded by support, knowing she is not alone, and knowing that her journey matters. A Mother Blessing becomes a rite of passage—a moment where your inner expansion is honored and met with reverence.

Closing Ceremony

The Closing Ceremony is offered in the postpartum period as a time to honour your birth journey and help you integrate all that you have moved through. Birth changes you on every level, and this ceremony gives you the space to slow down, breathe, and let your story be held with care.

At the heart of this ceremony is a traditional Mexican ritual of gently wrapping the body with rebozo or scarves—a practice that symbolizes closure, containment, and return. Through this ritual, your body is invited to feel held after the immense opening of pregnancy and birth. It is a moment of deep rest, reflection, and homecoming.

This ceremony is a space where your experience is witnessed with tenderness. You are invited to share your birth story, release what needs to be released, and welcome in what wants to settle. It is an honouring of who you were, who you are now, and everything you have walked through to become this version of yourself.

During the ceremony you will be offered ceremonial tea, space to be listened to, yoni/pelvic steaming , full body massage and wrapping. If there are members of your community or circle that you would like to be involved this is welcomed too.

Typically this ceremony is offered at the end of a mother’s 40 day period, however it can take place whenever mama feels ready - whether that be months or years later.

Ceremonial Holding is about presence, remembrance, and reverence. It is about offering you a place to land. Each ceremony becomes a moment where you are supported, celebrated, and returned to yourself with softness and honour.
